Little Miss Sunshine is a comedy-drama indie film released in 2006. It tells the story of a dysfunctional family and their quest to get their young daughter into a beauty pageant’s final round, consequently leading them to go on a cross-country road trip.

The film initially premiered during the 2006 Sundance Film Festival where it created a big buzz, leading to a bidding war among studios for the distribution rights to the film. It stars Steve Carrell, Greg Kinnear, and Abigail Breslin and has received various Academy Award nominations, including two wins.
