Moonlight is a 2016 film based on an unpublished autobiography by Tarell Alvin McCraney, titled In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue. It was the first film with an all-black cast that related to queer culture. It won the 2017 Oscar Award for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor.

It also clinched the Best Motion Picture award during the 74th Golden Globe Awards, along with five other nominations.
