The Stryker family is another of America’s longstanding dynasties. They have been dominating the med-tech industry since 1941. Homer Stryker was an inventor who focused his skills on new and useful medical aids and devices. One of his most notable inventions was the mobile hospital bed.
Like a handful of other dynasties on this list, the Strykers are known for being supporters of the Democratic party and other liberal causes. They created a foundation which helps promote the rights of the LGBTQ community called the Arcus Foundation. At present, Homer’s children are in charge of running the company.
