We’ve all heard of Walmart, the multinational retail corporation that controls its famous chain of department and grocery stores. The family behind it (the Waltons) is currently considered one of the richest in the country. Founded in 1962 by Sam and Bud Walton, Walmart currently employs over 2.3 million people all over the globe.
Walmart rakes in $514 billion each year, numbers which make the Waltons very wealthy indeed. New innovations and companies have cropped up over recent years and while these have made a dent in the company’s monopoly over the industry, there’s no budging Walmart. As one of the largest dynasties in America, the iconic chain is here to stay.
