American International Group, AIG for short, is an insurance company created by Mark Greenberg in 1919. Greenberg was born in New York City. He became a captain in the army and is a recognized war veteran. His company, AIG, is now one of the biggest companies anywhere in the world.
Greenberg retired from the company in 2005, but he often appears in public to show his disapproval of the company’s new leadership. The company is now under the guidance of Martin J. Sullivan who began working with the company as a clerk in 1970, eventually landing at the top.
