The Turkey Plane That Almost Went Crashing Down The Sea
On January 13, 2018, numerous drones captured the unfortunate incident involving Pegasus Airlines Flight 8622 bound to Trabzon City from Ankara City. The Turkish aircraft ran off the left side of the runway, causing it to slide slightly down a cliff. Thankfully, it narrowly avoided plummeting into the Black Sea.
After the incident, the airport had to close temporarily to conduct investigations. The aircraft suffered severe damage with its right engine detaching and falling into the sea. The reported cause of the accident was engine failure. Luckily, out of the 168 passengers aboard the plane during the crash, no one was harmed.
