This aerial drone image captures the magnificent sight that is the city of Hong Kong. The photo can’t help but be impressive since the territory of Hong Kong hosts some of the highest buildings the world has ever seen. Grand as these skyscrapers may seem, the proliferation of them poses a huge underlying dilemma with the city’s housing market.
With over seven million people populating the extremely compact city, Hong Kong is considered the fourth most densely populated region in the entire world. The demand for more living space in Hong Kong is higher than in any other city, and the housing market continues to struggle as more and more residents look for a decent place to live. Unfortunately, the problem is being resolved by building tiny apartments leased or sold at insanely high rates.
