The Six Flags Theme Park
This image of a completely flooded Six Flags New Orleans was taken using a flying drone merely two weeks after Hurricane Katrina struck in August 2005. Since then, the magnificent theme park has remained closed. The park, or what’s left of it, still sits in New Orleans East.
Since its destruction, numerous plans have been put forward to rebuild the famous theme park. Sadly, however, these are yet to come to fruition. Up until today, the remains of the glorious site lie abandoned and in the worst possible condition. Recently, thrill-seekers and ghost adventurers have been making attempts to break in to get a glimpse of the eerie theme park. As such, the park is monitored all day, every day by the New Orleans Police Department.
