This next image may look like a painting, but it is actually an award-winning photo of the Thjorsa River located in the southern part of Iceland. The water’s swirling, milky-white appearance can be attributed to a large glacier that serves as the river’s main source.
The Thjorsa River is Iceland’s longest river at 230 kilometers long. Aside from offering breathtaking sights and activities like kayaking and canoeing, the river is also a popular fishing spot – salmon, eel, trout, and many other species of fish can be found here.
