The appropriately-named Just Room Enough Island, located near the border of the US and Canada, was purchased by the Sizeland Family in the 1950s. They built a small cottage and planted a few trees, with the intention of turning the place into their private weekend getaway.
The family never expected, however, that their humble abode on the St. Lawrence River would eventually become a tourist attraction. Visitors can’t help but admire the tiny island with its single sweet cottage and accompanying tree. Its quaint little form creates a stark contrast to the much larger Boldt Castle not too far away.
