Over the years, new fields of science have started to emerge in order to address the harmful effects of global warming. The discipline of glacial and ice patch archaeology is one of the disciplines that materialized in order to address the effects of climate change. This field is geared toward investigating the remains of receding permafrost, ice patches, and glaciers.
And because of the rapid rate of ice melting, numerous findings have become available for scientists to investigate. These scientists have time working against them and have to study these artifacts as quickly as they can, as they are now subject to decomposition. By the way, it is these scientists we have to thank for the discovery of many of the amazing ice-preserved findings in this article.
