The Good in Global Warming
Most of these recent discoveries were made possible by the ever-changing climate. Constant increases in the Earth’s temperature, for example, have accelerated the rate at which snow melts and glaciers fade. Unfortunately, we are already at a point where more ice is lost than gained. Soon, more and more ice-bound items will be uncovered and released from the protection of the freezing cold.
It goes without saying that global warming is a real threat to the environment, but at least it provides scientists the ability to investigate these ancient creatures and other hidden secrets. Many believe that climate change brings impending doom to us all, but it will do us good to take advantage of whatever scientific opportunities it offers.
