Caribou Crap
It’s not so much the crap that intrigued scientists. As it turns out, it’s what’s inside the crap that counts. This entry might seem profoundly gross to you, but the findings within caribou feces are quite remarkable. Apparently, a dart shaft was discovered in the dung of one these beasts. Why is this so important? Well, (1) it is a sign of human life within the area, and (2) it means that these human hunters were capable of quite a bit of craftsmanship.

The presence of these hunting relics may provide us a slew of information about ancient times, such as where these animals roamed and what other creatures resided within the area. So yes, it might be disgusting, but for the sake of science, it is worth investigating. If all this talk of poop has grossed you out, better get over that germophobia, because we’re about to dig into something nasty. Boy am I glad I’m not a scientist.
