Ancient Weaponry
Aside from the copper arrowhead, many other weapons used by ancient humans have been discovered in ice patches as well. After initial investigation, scientists did not find a trace of human existence in Yellowstone, Wyoming. However, upon further inspection, they discovered a spear that is believed to be 10,300 years old.
This spear was created for hunting prey and killing predators in the early years. Yellowstone, Wyoming, is home to hundreds of elk, bison, and a few wolves, all likely targets for the spears. This might not seem such an incredible find to some, but it does reveal something pretty spectacular. The presence of this spear means that humans were able to inhabit the cold climate of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana far earlier than we previously imagined.
