Long Ago Man
Disconcerting as they may be, soldiers and Inca offerings were not the only humans discovered buried in ice. As a matter of fact, hundreds of people have been found to have suffered similar fates. Scientists have even found a body that they estimate to be about 300 years old. What’s even more amazing is that this body is an ancestor to the nearby First Nations people.

The scientists decided to dub him the “Long Ago Man.” He was discovered with a robe made from the skins of 95 pelts, a fur coat, and a walking stick. They also found a bunch of fish scales in his pockets. Scientists believe the Long Ago Man comes from a pretty well-off background. Sadly, though, he suffered the fate of many others who lost their lives falling into glaciers.
