The fashionistas and Instagram influencers of today’s world would probably keel over if they found out that many people in the past had to stick to just four outfits. These outfits were reserved to just one per season because they changed their clothes very rarely.
While the style of clothing differed depending on the era, culture, and weather, it’s safe to say that they weren’t fond of changing their clothing on a regular basis, with peasants sometimes even sleeping in their one and only seasonal outfit too.
