Being a jack of all trades is a skill that comes in handy, regardless of the era you’re in. Having multiple skills in different fields means you’re always capable of raking in an income, as evidenced by barbers from back in the day.
In a time when dentists weren’t part of our daily lives yet, barbers were in charge not just of hair cutting but of teeth pulling too. The most expedient way of dealing with a rotten tooth is to just pull it out, as proven by these barbers. This meant the lucky populace of the time could save themselves a trip by having their hair cut and teeth pulled all at once.
