It takes a lifetime of dedicated dental care to prevent one’s teeth from falling out, especially as you get older. If all else fails, you can always get a set of dentures from your friendly neighborhood dentist, one made from acrylic, plastic, or porcelain. If you lived in the past, however, chances are your dentures would have been made from dead soldiers’ teeth.
Back in the day, surviving soldiers from the war would pull out the teeth of dead soldiers on the battlefield. They would then sell these to dentists, who would boil and shape them into dentures using artificial gums.
