Given that the film weaves itself into many real historical events, it comes as no surprise that some of the quotes in the movie come from real people too. One such line is “I just put one foot in front of the other. When I get tired, I sleep. When I get hungry, I eat. When I have to go to the bathroom, I go.”
This came from Louis Michael Figueroa, a 16-year old who ran across America as a show of support to the American Cancer Society. It took him 60 days and earned him recognition as both the youngest and the fastest person to do so.
