Bubba Blue
Just like the role of Forrest Gump, Bubba Blue’s role received the thumbs down from several artists, including Ice Cube and Dave Chappelle. Ice Cube, an American rapper, allegedly turned down the role because he didn’t want to play a dim-witted character.
Chapelle, a stand-up comedian, also turned down the role in the belief that it wouldn’t be a successful project. He later co-starred with Hanks in the film You’ve Got Mail. Meanwhile, Bubba Blue landed in the lap of Mykelti Williamson.
