Nia eventually worked up the courage to pay her doctor a visit for a sonogram. She was desperate to know what was going on, but she was also nervous about what this check-up might reveal. This third pregnancy was definitely a lot different from the other two, and she needed to know why.
In an interview with WUSA9 conducted after her pregnancy, Nia mentioned that she and Robert had always joked about the idea of having a large family. However, after the twins were born, they decided that having three kids was enough. Robert and Nia never would have guessed that an epic surprise was coming their way.
