He Was a Highschool Dropout
Keanu has always been open about not being academically inclined when he was younger. As a teenager, he found more interest in sports than education. This led him to become a sort of troublemaker in school. He attended a total of four different high schools in Toronto in a matter of five years. Among these was Etobicoke School of the Arts, an institution from which he was expelled.
At 17 years old, Keanu decided to drop out of high school and pursue a career in acting. He moved to Los Angeles and lived with his former stepfather, ultimately ending his academic career. He never obtained a high school diploma. Considering the success he made of his career, it seems he didn’t really need one.
