Keanu Is Very Generous With His Crew
Seems like money is not a concern at all for Keanu. After the massive success of his film, The Matrix, during the contract signing of the second and third installments, he decided to forfeit a huge chunk of his salary so that the film’s costume and special effects teams could receive higher wages.
Keanu earned an estimate of $256 million from The Matrix trilogy, but he decided to give away almost $75 million to the crew. He strongly believed that they were the unsung heroes of the films and that they deserved as much glory as he was being given. He was also said to give a crew member a $20,000 Christmas bonus to help with the family’s financial problems. As if we needed any more reasons to love Keanu.
