Keanu in The Early Days
We may know Keanu best for his famous films such as John Wick, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and The Matrix, but did you know that Keanu’s acting career goes way back (and no, we’re not talking about that 19th-century actor again)? Keanu actually started as a stage actor back when he was nine. His first ever professional role was in a production of Damn Yankees. At 15, he portrayed the role of Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, as staged by Toronto’s Leah Posluns Theatre.
Before going on to star in hit movies, Keanu was on a 1984 Canadian TV show called Hangin’ In. He also starred in several TV advertisements during the 80s. This guy is a genuine hard worker who earned his spot in Hollywood through years of dedication.
