Free of any leashes that might have held him back, Storm immediately jumped into the water after seeing a disturbance. In fact, the pup acted so fast that his owner didn’t have time to clearly make out what was in the water before Storm started paddling towards it, heedless of the cold temperature in the estuary.
Mark was taken by surprise by Storm’s sudden movement but with the pup already out in the water, he had little choice but to stand on the shore, trying to work out what the mysterious object could be. As Storm got closer to him, he realized with a start that it wasn’t just any old bit of debris.
