Mark was understandably overwhelmed by the events that transpired, from Storm suddenly jumping into the water to recover something, to realizing that it was an animal and then making sure that the baby deer got the proper care it needed.
Storm had been so quick to act on his instincts that before Mark could even process what was happening, the half-drowned deer was already right in front of him. He was also amazed at the kindness Storm showed, leading him to formulate a plan to do his part too.
