Despite Storm’s determination to keep the baby deer safe, the dog was also too tired to keep on paddling and was having difficulty reaching the animal. Luckily, at that point, Frankie and his wife reached Long Island Sound and were able to take control of the situation.
The couple ran down to the beach, reaching the baby deer just as its head started dipping under water again. Storm was still desperately paddling, trying to reach the drowning creature, so Frankie dove in and was thankfully able to save Storm the effort by grabbing the deer.
