If you ever get the chance to visit an Iranian home, you might notice some interesting cultural quirks. Dinner time, for one, is seen as an important family occasion that everyone must partake in. It is perfectly normal for everyone to have dinner together while sitting on the floor.
Some Iranians would also prefer to eat with their hands; however, Islamic teachings dictate that only the right hand may be used for eating (the left hand is generally used for cleaning or the removal of dirt). When offered food, you must try a little bit of everything. Don’t worry – Iranian food is delicious!
