The Gem State Loves its Potatoes
We may have described Idaho earlier as an empty wasteland. However, there actually is one thing that the state is famous for: potatoes. If you are as obsessed with spuds as any other Idahoan, then come give this potato museum a visit. Unlike other potatoes, official Idaho potatoes are cultivated from rich volcanic soil and grown with the perfect climate and irrigation. Three kinds of potatoes are grown in the state: the red potato, the Yukon gold, and the fingerling.
Aside from the excellent cultivating factors present in Idaho, what makes the Idaho potato extra special is its farmers. Their dedication and expertise in growing these perfectly delicious potatoes are exceptional. Growing Idaho potatoes is not as easy as you would think: the skill is passed on from generation to generation and takes quite a lot of time to master.
