The Constitution State
Connecticut has the highest per-capita income and median household income in the country. It is the third smallest state and is the fourth most densely populated one. Its official nickname is the Constitution State as it played a significant role in the establishment of the country’s federal government. Connecticut also hosts a good chunk of the financial services industry, including major insurance companies and hedge funds.
The cost of living in Connecticut is pretty high; heck, if we’re to believe this signpost, even the simple act of throwing rocks into the sea isn’t free. If you’re planning to take your children here, be sure to remind them not to pitch rocks off the edge; they could put you into debt if you’re not careful. Oh, and watch out for the attack seagull as well!
