The East Coast
The term “East Coast” originates from the concept that the US states are divided into two major coastlines, the western and the eastern. The eastern side is also referred to as the “Atlantic Seaboard,” as the coast lies along the Atlantic Ocean. The East Coast is home to 14 states: Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
When you live in the east, there are certain social standards you have to uphold. This image is perhaps the best way to portray the typical East Coast guy. While eight collars may be an exaggeration, Easterners truly value fashion. Their starched, popped-collar style could be described as preppy, sleek, and sophisticated. They also live incredibly fast-paced lives and tend to be extremely competitive and ambitious.
