The southern states are comprised of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. The South has a warm climate for the majority of the year, allowing for the successful cultivation of crops.
The NASCAR series is big in the South. After all, its headquarters are in Daytona Beach, Florida. While its events and races are broadcast internationally, the sport is still inexorably associated with the region.
