Every American State Summed Up In A Single Photograph

The Badger State
Wisconsin earned its nickname – “The Badger State” – from its Galena lead miners. During the 1830s, workers from Illinois resided in temporary caves similar to badger dens. Thus, the miners were labeled “badgers.” The state is also known as “America’s Dairyland” for being the country’s leading producer of dairy, specifically, cheese.

Hello Wisconsin! Aside from being the setting of the hit series, That ‘70s Show, Wisconsin is also, as mentioned, famous for its high-quality cheese. Wisconsinites are excessively proud of their cheese, so it’s best not to say anything that could be interpreted as criticism (unless you’re looking for trouble). Their beer is pretty awesome, too. If you feel like pairing the two together, then head on over to the Highway 13 Liquor and Cheese drive-thru.
