In Washington, tales of Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, are rampant. This creature is described as a hairy, seven-foot-tall man who walks around the woods, periodically frightening hikers, lumberjacks, campers, and whoever crosses his path. Sightings of this mysterious creature (or creatures) were reported from the late 1800s through the 1900s and into the 21st century. Footprints, encounters, even video footage of the giant beast have added to the mystery over the years. Many have since tried to prove Bigfoot’s existence, but concise evidence is yet to be found.

Most scientists discount the Bigfoot myth as being a mere hoax or a misidentification of other animals. However, many people from Washington remain optimistic about the beast’s existence. After all, who could have possibly requested this professional license other than Bigfoot himself?
