Every American State Summed Up In A Single Photograph

The Palmetto State
The name Carolina is a reference to King Charles I of England, who was the first to form the English colony. His name in Latin is Carolus. On May 23, 1788, South Carolina became the eighth state to ratify the US Constitution. In 1860, the state became the first to be in favor of breaking away from the Union but was readmitted into the country in 1868.

The image above is of a South Carolina beauty pageant winner carrying her little boy… and a bottle of beer… and a shotgun. Apparently, in North Carolina, it’s perfectly fine to bond with a toddler while drinking alcohol and slinging a gun around. I honestly hope this picture was taken in jest, although the kid does not seem entertained by his momma at all.
