The Keystone State
Pennsylvania was the first US state to build a zoo. It is also home to 121 state parks, all of which have free admission. It boasts plenty of amusement parks as well, such as Camel Beach, Dorney Park, Wildwater Kingdom, and Dutch Wonderland. It also has the largest indoor waterpark resort on the East Coast, the Splash Lagoon located in Erie.
Hunting is also a popular sport in Pennsylvania. Among the most common prey are black bears, cottontail rabbits, squirrels, and turkeys. On top of all this, Pennsylvania hosts a number of remarkable music festivals, including Musikfest, NEARfest, Creation Festival, and Purple Door. Too bad none of these activities could be enjoyed by the massive population of Amish people residing in the state. In this image, an Amish girl is seen rollerblading her way home after a day of shopping.
