The Garden State
New Jersey has a very rich and unique history; and its cuisine, religion, art, and literature are just as colorful. Modern inventions such as the motion picture camera, the lithium battery, the electric train, the FM radio, and the light bulb, were all created in the state. Plenty of other innovations arose from New Jersey as well, such as cranberry sauce, the postcard, the drive-in movie, the zipper, the phonograph, seedless watermelons, and saltwater taffy.
The Jersey guy can be identified by his trademark haircut – that waxed, spiky style – and lavishly applied fake tan. With a beer in hand, a posse of identically tanned dudes by his side, and an always camera-ready attitude, the Jersey man is a force to be reckoned with.
