Every American State Summed Up In A Single Photograph

The Land of 10,000 Lakes
On May 11, 1858, Minnesota was approved to be America’s 32nd state. It is home to thousands of lakes, hence the nickname. Minnesota is the 12th largest state and 22nd most populous. The state is composed of prairies in the west, deciduous forests in the south, and woods in the north.

Hmm. Looks like this sign is in a bit of denial. The only warm sunshine you will actually encounter is that depicted on the rather deceptive sign. In fact, the sun shows up so rarely in the state that people are surprised whenever they get to see it. If you are ready to freeze your butt off, then come visit Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
