The Bluegrass State
The official nickname of Kentucky is the Bluegrass State, because of the vast amount of bluegrass present in most of its pastures. The state is famous for coal, moonshines, horse racing, bourbon distilleries, tobacco, bluegrass music, and of course, Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Kentucky might be home to some of the best chickens, but I’m not well versed enough in chickun’s, be they biddies or growd, to be able to vouch for their quality. Also, how far do you think that sale is?
