The Hawkeye State
Iowa is home to countless remarkable human beings. It is the birthplace of US President Herbert Hoover and Vice President Henry A. Wallace. Other national leaders hailed from the state as well, such as Presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon. The state is also the proud home of five Nobel Prize winners and at least four Olympic gold medalists. Very impressive indeed.
As seen in this picture, Iowa is basically nothing but wilderness. Aside from a Pepsi vending machine, there is pretty much nothing else to do but to admire the breathtaking view. Just like Idaho, there is not a lot to do here, so better keep driving until you reach the next state.
