White Wanted To Do More
The moment Matt White met Chauncy Jones Black, he knew he wasn’t going to stop at a measly a pack of doughnuts. After finding out about the youngster’s tough life, he realized this simple gesture was clearly not enough. Here was a young boy who had literally nothing in his refrigerator, and he wasn’t even asking for a handout. Matt decided he couldn’t let the kid go home with just a box of unhealthy desserts. A wonderful opportunity to help someone in need presented itself, and Matt had every intention of taking it.
While it was not his responsibility at all to feed and help this complete stranger, Matt’s heart just could not allow him to leave home empty-handed. Besides, Matt saw something special about Chauncy. He wasn’t like any other kid – despite the desperate situation he was in, he had honor. Matt believed something serious needed to be done.
