The Blind Bottle Collector
Prior to his destined meeting with Chauncy and Barbara Black, Mat set up a GoFundMe account for a guy he encountered in one of the rougher areas of the city. The man – JB Kibbler – was a blind bottle collector. Matt first saw him wandering the streets, digging through garbage for cans. After chatting with him, Matt learned the man was doing so in order to be able to provide food for his daughters and granddaughters.
After seeing this, White did not hesitate to set-up the GoFundMe account for the 65-year-old whom he affectionately dubbed the “Can Man.” JB Kibbler did not stop working from the moment he woke up until sun down, all week long. The GoFundMe account was created in hopes that he would earn enough to afford some time off to spend with his family. But, in an unexpected turn of events, the donations for JB reached $36,000.
