A Call To Action
Matt believes that the story should not end here. There are many other Chauncy Black’s out there. Other people who are also in need of that opportunity of a lifetime to turn their lives around. Matt and Chauncy’s heartwarming story should not be left at just that: a story. Thinking more globally than Chauncy, Matt posted his story to inspire other people to help those they see in need as well.
Matt explains, “I should not be the focus of this story. It is not about what I did, because if you look at it closely, I really did not do anything aside from telling a story and uploading it online. It is our community, Memphis, that decided to lift this family up and change their lives.” Of course, the Black family does not agree. They insist Matt is heavily downplaying his role in all of this.
