The Vision
Matt White’s Facebook post and GoFundMe account immediately gained traction. As the donations came pouring in, a new set of questions arose: what was Matt’s grand plan for Chauncy? How would all the money be spent? How would the family be able to use it wisely? And what could Matt do to ensure they didn’t ever have to fall back into their old living conditions?
Fortunately, Matt already had it planned out. The goal was to raise enough funds enough for Chauncy to buy a lawnmower that he can use for work during summer. This would give him cash for food and school supplies, just in time for his enrolment in 10th grade in the fall. Little did they realize the donations for Chauncy would amount to far more than a lawnmower.
