Living on a nature preserve was, for Newton, a dream come true. The lynx weren’t the first visitors of the furry (or indeed feathery) kind he had been greeted by outside of his home. He hadn’t seen a wild animal in such close and personal proximity before though. Before, he had only caught glimpses of the shy creatures who stopped by to investigate his abode.
So when he discovered the lynx kittens outside on his porch one morning, Newton was deeply honored to have witnessed such a rare sighting. The fact that he was able to get so close to these highly endangered wild cats made him giddy with joy and left him in awe of nature.
