Kobe was incredibly proud of his second daughter, Gianna, also known as Gigi. The press has constantly pressed the Lakers giant whether he felt like he was missing on having a son who would continue his legacy, but that was never case for him.
Because Gigi herself was incredibly talented, and the two were actually headed to a basketball game where she was playing when the helicopter crashed.
