A jury found rapper Tory Lanez guilty in December 2022 in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, an incident that took place in 2020 outside a Los Angeles party.
However, the sentencing for the case, which was originally scheduled for January, has been rescheduled multiple times for unknown reasons. Reportedly, Lanez has hired new attorneys since his conviction.
After multiple reschedulings, a sentencing hearing was supposed to happen Monday, but it has been delayed because of Lanez’s motion for the new trial.
On Monday, his defense in the court said that they wanted to raise new issues on the case due to which another court date was scheduled for next week.
