Because this will be the first time the show has a permanent co-host ever since they fired Tamar Braxton in 2016. Apparently the producers want Amanda to take over as the lead host of the show, instead of Loni Love. An insider shared MTO News, “Amanda is being brought on to help lead the discussion, she’ll be taking Loni’s role. They’re both comedians with very strong personalities and views, and they’re both Black women – there is no need to have them both on the cast.”

Loni Love’s contract apparently expires in June, and people claim she will leave after that.
