Martian Stick Figures
Many people took one look at the image below and connected it to the cave drawings of our early human ancestors. The image, captured by NASA’s Curiosity rover, does seem to show a collection of what could be interpreted as crude stick-figures. However, if you think these are alien works of art, then you’re wrong. This image is actually only the size of a quarter inch (or six millimeters). It can’t possibly have been an artistic sculpture.
Scientists believe these tiny formations may have resulted from minerals filling in spaces where crystals had formed and later on dissolved. This image was shared in 2018 by the Curiosity rover’s Twitter account and received many speculations in return. Some Twitter users even suggest that the stick figures may be Viking runes.
