A Sign of Light
On the dark horizon of the red planet, the bright flicker light from all the way back is clearly visible in this image captured by NASA’s Curiosity rover in 2014. As always, UFO enthusiasts quickly speculated that the light might be the evidence they need to prove alien activity.
But, once again, alien fanatics were disappointed to learn that the blip of light most probably resulted from a cosmic ray. According to NASA scientist Doug Ellison, high energy particles flying through space may have caused the bizarre phenomenon.
